Romain Cogitore is a filmmaker and photographer born in 1985, he lives and works in Paris, France.
Seeing shooting as a physical experience, he operates camera for his own movies. In photography, he develops different approaches related to gesture, as well as immersive sound writings in connection with still images. His photographs have been exhibited in various galleries in Paris, Rome and Los Angeles.
His work questions our contemporary loves, grasping the question of the romance and its actualization. It also challenges our relationship with nature, exploring the tensions of our time, torn between consumption and the quest for meaning and beauty.
